DIRTY WATER TV TO LAUNCH ’09 SEASON WITH NEW TV NETWORK & CELEBRITY
TALENT Dirty Water TV moves to NESN with Former New England
Patriot Christian Fauria & Kiss 108’s Lisa Donovan on Board
Dirty Water TV, the television show that toasts the Boston area’s hottest
entertainment and nightlife news today announced that it will be moving
to a new television network with new celebrity co-host and talent. On
January 17th, 2009, Dirty Water TV will begin airing Saturday nights
at 11:30 p.m. on New England Sports Network (NESN), New England’s most
watched sports network with newly appointed co-host former New England
Patriots tight end Christian Fauria. The premier episode will be taped
on location at The Greatest Bar in Boston on Wednesday, January 7th,
2008 at 8 p.m. The show previously aired on CN8/The Comcast Network.
Dirty Water TV is Boston’s only entertainment and lifestyle television
show that spotlights all that’s hot in Beantown, from nightlife, music
and events; to fashion, food and culture. Everything that makes Boston
the ‘hub of hip and happening’ is featured as part of the show. Created
by a group of local nightlife and television industry leaders, Dirty
Water TV fills the void that had existed in the Boston TV line-up. It’s
like Access Hollywood with a local focus on celebrity, nightlife and
fashion, says Dirty Water TV Creator/Executive Producer Bill Fairweather.
We created Dirty Water TV to provide a stage that showcases Boston’s
fantastic bars, nightclubs, and events. It’s a show for all of the hard
working entertainment and nightlife business owners to spotlight what
they do best.
We view Dirty Water TV as an opportunity for us to continue to diversify
and expand our programming lineup, said Joel Feld, NESN’s executive
vice president of programming and executive producer. We have been making
a conscious effort to attract new audiences, demographics and sponsors
to the network. This show fits with our strategy and offers fans a reason
to watch NESN late night on Saturdays.
Playing for the Patriots here in New England gave me the opportunity
to attend and be a part of some fantastic events, concerts, parties
and even one incredible a parade, says Fauria. Dirty Water TV is a great
vehicle for staying connected with the energy that is the Boston scene.
I am excited to explore the tastes, sights, and sounds that make Boston
my home. And, of course, I just love that Dirty Water TV!
And another addition to the Dirty Water TV talent, Lisa Donovan of Kiss
108’s Matty in the Morning Show will be joining the show’s on-air team
to report the latest fashion trends making the nightlife scene. I am
thrilled to be pairing the work I do on Kiss 108 with my previous fashion
experience and bring it all together on the ‘little screen’ in such
a fun and fashionable way,’ says Donovan. The Boston area has so many
fabulous designers, boutiques, spas and salons that contribute to the
excitement of the nightlife scene.
Seriously, what girl doesn’t ask what everyone else is wearing before
going out for a night on the town? More
The news of this exciting jump to NESN and the addition of Fauria and
Donovan to the cast will culminate nearly two years of work building
and branding Dirty Water TV as the Boston area’s only nightlight and
entertainment television program. Much of the show’s original cast remains
with the show. In fact, Jen Manley, a former news anchor and reporter
for the ABC affiliate in Bangor, Maine, who has been reporting and hosting
for Dirty Water TV since its inception will co-host with Fauria. A complete
listing of the show’s dedicated and talented cast can be viewed at
www.DirtyWaterTV.com.
Since its launch, Dirty Water TV has solidified some key industry relationships
that have helped the show flourish and grow. Preston Marketing, a national
promotional marketing firm, is one of the show’s key partners with a
segment called The Industry that is dedicated solely to what happens
behind the scenes. The Industry is moving up to the Big Leagues, says
Karyne Bazzano, President and Founder of Preston Marketing. We are really
excited to be part of Dirty Water TV and NESN.
NESN is owned by the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins and delivered
to over 4 million homes throughout the six-state New England region
and nationally via DirecTV and Dish Network.
The definitive source for New England sports programming, NESN is the
top rated regional sports network in the country delivering award winning
Red Sox and Bruins coverage; a popular sports news and highlights program
NESN SportsDesk;, Original NESN Entertainment (ONE) branded programs
that take fans beyond the network’s live event coverage; plus NESN.com
