DJ Hevan Celebrity DJ & Tastemaker

DJ Hevan will spin as the celebrity DJ on the FUZE iT Fashion Show Tour, which will launch in Boston, Massachusetts at the Underbar on Saturday, August 21.   Produced by CHiA MEDiA and Production Runway, FUZE iT combines live art, music, and fashion installations.

The Underbar is located at 275 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02116.

The Fashion installations will begin at 6 PM
Doors Open at 4 PM
Media Check In at 5:30 PM

This is an all-ages event.  $20.00 at the door.

Event proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities; hair and makeup provided by Prestijio Beauty Studio and wardrobe provided by Sugar & Rox.

If you have gone out in Boston over the last 5 years, odds are you have partied with Dj Hevan supplying the soundtrack. Dude spins literally EVERYWHERE now… and it all started with his mixtape cassettes back at the Zoo (UMass). As one of the more versatile DJ’s in the greater Boston area, Hev can move from rocking the block with the truest hip hop beats to orchestrating the club with the freshest electronic sounds.

We dig his mixtapes, and he digs vitaminTHICK, so naturally, it was an easy match.

DJ Hevan began his craft in the late 1990's while attending Brookline High School in Massachusetts; the same high school that had produced commercially successful talents DJ Geespin, DJ Hustle Simmons and later DJ Laz-e-boy, the top battle DJ for Clinton Sparks' "Smash Squad" DJ crew. Laz-e-boy took the young Hevan under his wing, teaching him the raw side of turntablism.

“I spent countless hours scratching and practicing body tricks. What I didn’t know then was that these skills would later set me apart and make me a complete entertainer,” says DJ Hevan.

After high school, DJ Hevan attended University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he became the most-requested party DJ at the University. By his sophomore year, DJ Hevan had his own night at a local bar, and as word spread, students flocked to wait in line for an hour just to hear DJ Hevan rock the crowd. He went on to accept residency offers at Lush Lounge in NYC and Club Embassy in Boston, driving 2 hours each way to perform every week; and still make it back to UMass in time for classes.

Following graduation, DJ Hevan went on to perform at many of the largest nightclubs along the East Coast, including a monthly rotation at Shrine, which is located in the exclusive MGM Grand at Foxwoods; and residencies at Pearl, Rumor, The Estate, Venu, Sanctuary, The Greatest Bar, Revolution Rock Bar, Felt, Marina Bay Beach Club, Wonder Bar, Hurricane O'Reilly's, Royale and Saint.

In 2010, DJ Hevan looks forward to performing along side artists touring through Boston and bringing his talents to other markets.
