One of the Quincy Market area's most popular bars features plenty of food and drink.

When the weekend comes, the Purple Shamrock is inundated by college students and bold, young invaders from the suburbs. The bar features live rock and pop music on Friday and Saturday nights, and there's usually a small cover charge. DJs and karaoke (schedules vary) round out the Shamrock's entertainment offerings.
